Shantung textile is characterized by irregular horizontal streaks and natural texture caused by slubbed yarn, as well as a moderate firmness and luster. We handle polyester, cotton, and rayon, mainly for textiles used in dresses, formalwear, and linings.
Because it is mainly a plain weave, it ranges from sheer to heavyweight depending on the material, yarn thickness, density, and finish. Polyester is a good choice when strength, dimensional stability, and quick-drying performance are important, while cotton is a guide for when absorbency and a soft feel against the skin are prioritized.
